This time it’s set to be bigger than before and in the heart of Nottingham’s City Centre! Over the years Nottingham has seen its fair share of video game shops, cafes and museums disappear, after two successful sold out events the Nottingham Video Games Expo (NVGE) returns and is set to bring more gaming to the city than ever before!

The Nottingham Video Games Expo is to put together all of their favorite parts of those previous events and wrap it all together in a very community focused event.

The city centre of Nottingham has seen it’s fair share of internet cafes, gaming stores and museums close down in previous years but there has been a keen interest for video gaming since there and following the success of the Retro Games Fair which took place in Nottingham showed that Nottingham was calling for retro gaming and a video gaming market, that’s where the Nottingham Video Games Expo comes in.

Event organisers James and Alex want to make sure that, wherever possible, their expo will focus on the local community, and so reached out to gaming businesses and groups and developers. The Belgrave Rooms Nottingham is their venue of choice however, they want to keep the same look at feel of the previous event after receiving positive praise with how the layout and general flow of the expo was previously.

GAMING LEGENDS

The Nottingham Video Games has seen a wide range of talks from legends from the gaming industry and fan favorites for the retro gaming community which includes David Wise, Kevin Bayliss, Paul Machacek and Graeme Norgate from Rare Ltd. talking about games such as Goldeneye 007, Battletoads, Timesplitters to name a few plus and also joined by voice actor Estelle Ellis who voiced the role of Krystal Fox. Simon Phipps from Core Design speaking about his work in the gaming industry which included games such as Rick Dangerous, plus Gemma (TheGebs24) shared her retro gaming and collecting knowledge and tips.
