As the city prepares for the Wu-Tang Clan’s “Final Chamber” farewell tour, a unique collaboration is set to bridge the gap between New York’s hip-hop royalty and Manchester’s alternative musical soul.
This intimate in-conversation event at Gorilla features founding Wu-Tang member Inspectah Deck, just hours ahead of the Co-op Live takeover. The afternoon session offers a rare, close-up look at the legacy of one of the most influential voices in rap history. Hosted by BBC 6 Music DJ Chris Hawkins on Thursday 19th March 2026.
THE SONIC BRIDGE: NIGHTJAR & AGENT J
The event sees the return of NightjaR, the beat-driven project of Doves frontman Jimi Goodwin. Acting as the sonic connective tissue for the afternoon, NightjaR beats align perfectly with the raw, uncompromising spirit of the Wu-Tang universe.
Goodwin, known for his ability to weave alternative heritage with credible hip-hop lineages, will be joined by Manchester stalwart Agent J. As the architect of Groovement, Agent J has spent decades championing the underground scene. Ensuring this pre-party carries the authentic weight of the city’s musical DNA.
HISTORIC FAREWELL
The event will see Inspectah Deck reflect on his storied career – from his legendary musical delivery to the group’s monumental cultural impact over three decades.
The tour is billed as the last time the full Clan will perform together in the city… And so the gathering at Gorilla is expected to be more than just a Q&A. Rumours of surprise appearances by more “hip-hop royalty” have already begun to circulate! Making this the essential destination for fans before the gig later that night.
