Our coverage for this year’s forthcoming Big Feastival continues, we spoke to friends and family that have previously had the pleasure of attending the glorious gathering that beautifully blends food and music together over one weekend in Cotswolds’ quintessential countryside. We’ve collected some very happy and warm memories from the Big Feastival – offering proof that it is a festival that offers plenty to sink your teeth into…

MEMORIES FROM THE BIG FEASTIVAL

One of our friends loves dancing, music and food, so it with this in mind (and thorough research) The Big Feastival came out top of her list. It didn’t take much persuasion once she got the vibe for what was in store…

“Absolutely loved it, it was brilliant! The excitement of getting through the gate putting on my 3-day wristband (we didn’t camp on-site), my eyes will have just said “WOW!” dazzled with the big wheel and the bright colours of the food stalls and stage. Everyday we found somewhere new to explore; the food streets, the chefs doing their bits. Plenty of glitter! Lots of live acts and music around the fields but the main stage was my favourite.”

“In terms of food – Burger Beyond is beyond good! The huge, fresh strawberries were memorable, the corn on the cob you have to see, and taste, to believe it, the sexy kebabs… And of course Alex James’ Cheese Hub! Every meal was like an event and of the highest of standards! ”

SO MUCH FAMILY FUN AND FREEDOM

And for a family member with young children, she went along with the promise of good music in a family-friendly environment. But her top priorities were good headliners. And, no joke – good toilets!

But did the festival deliver?

“The Cuban Brothers, Professor Green, Basement Jaxx… Every year we have been the line-up has blown us away. It’s a perfect blend of established artists – often legends, like The Bluetones and the incredible vocal talents of Craig David – mixed with the latest acts that are top of the pops! That includes Clean Bandit, James Arthur – again with impressive live vocals, and many more! We have such happy memories of the rainbow over the site, the smiles of everyone in the crowd, the dancing… And always felt safe, very much enjoying the relaxed atmosphere.”

“We also stayed in the Cotswolds for a week each side of the festival and loved the location – a great ‘excuse’ to visit that part of the country! A great time was had by all, even that bit of mud we had made it so very festival-credible! Great for the kids, I would describe it as a civilised festival with many extended families there. We had so much fun and freedom. And we’ve got our tickets booked for next year already!”

And the toilets?

“Decent!”
